CVG MINERVEN was constituted on February 4th 1970, as a joint venture by private investors – national (Corporación Venezolana de Fomento), and foreigners.

Currently, CVG owns 100% of MNIERVEN’s shares.

1973 to 1980 the treatment plant “Caratal” and the shaft “Colombia”, with 479 meters depth and with 7 production operative levels.

Since 1994, CVG MINERVEN assumes the operations of the Plant “El Perú”, getting an installed capacity of 1150 t / day (700 t/day in Caratal and 450 t/day in P. “El Perú”).

Since 1997, the enterprise begins the development of the mining micro business owners project and Strategic Alliances programs for the development of the large and small mining industry. This project has currently brought positive impacts for the region, by means of the organization of mining micro business owners and mining cooperatives as well as the reactivation of the mines Sosa Méndez, Laguna, Chile, Santa Rita.

The current production of gold is around three tons a year, and the enterprise is now establishing a Quality Management System regarding ISO 9001- 2000 and seeking excellence of the business.
